Episode 17 - Mike and Michelle Vermillion of SledgePad Innovations LLC
Monday May 01, 2017
Monday May 01, 2017
"I ordered a box of foam to sit home and experiment with. I got a PA and microphones and I did everything with my ear. I would cut something I thought would work, and then I would try something else. I came up with a formula for the exact right amount of compression. When I threw it in the drum it laid in the drum like a V. I put it all together and put a mic on it. It was like one of those moments. I ran up the stairs to say Michelle come here and listen to this." -Mike Vermillion, Founder of SledgePad
Here's another one for all my drummer pals! Throwing a blanket in your bass drum is now a thing of the past! I had the pleasure of speaking with the very lovely and intelligent Mike and Michelle Vermillion of SledgePad Innovations LLC. The couple share all the details of their revolutionary bass drum head to head dampening system, the SledgePad. We discuss the origin of the product, the functionality, new products, and how SledgePad is being used on stage with national acts such as P!nk, Collective soul, Cher, and more! http://www.sledgepad.com sledgepad19@Gmail.com

Episode 16 - Paul Friemel of Ript Apparel
Wednesday Apr 26, 2017
Wednesday Apr 26, 2017
"Creatively, I would say try to draw what you love. Try to make something that you would want to wear. Something that makes sense to you, but also be careful about getting too far into your own head. Do something you love but also be aware it has to speak to other people as well." - Paul Friemel
I had the pleasure of talking to the Founder and CCO of the Chicago based daily T-shirt site Riptapparel.com, Mr. Paul Friemel. Paul talks about how playing in a band and working with the likes of The Smashing Pumpkins put him on the path to starting a successful online T-shirt brand. The Grand Master of the RIPT Artist Group also lets me in on a few secrets of the brand, while providing an abundance of advice for aspiring T-shirt artists.

Monday Apr 03, 2017
Monday Apr 03, 2017
"I really think this is going to put the 3DS to bed, which is disappointing because it's actually one of my favorites. Although Switch is very quickly replacing it. I have a case for it. I carry it around like I used to carry around my 3DS. Who knows? I might get stranded somewhere and I want to be able to play Zelda."
On my first ever Gamer edition of the show, I am joined by Aud Ragle of the Nerding The F Out Blog to review Nintendo's newest console, the Switch. We discuss our favorite games of all time, all things Zelda, and even Pokemon beer pairing. Before it's game over, make sure you stay tuned for two tracks from the new Charles Laurita and the Mischief Studio Series, "Bob-omb Battlefield Funk" and "Pokemon Gym Funk"!!

Saturday Apr 01, 2017
Saturday Apr 01, 2017
"I don't want to be right, but I think that Roman Reigns is actually going to win. I think they are building him again to do something crazy. I really don't want to see it. I'm going to cringe if Taker loses but I just have that feeling that's the way they are going." - Michael Camp of Jersey Campfire Productions
On this special Wrestlemania 33 edition of the show, I am joined by my panel of experts featuring Mike Vacc, Tim Urig of @HeyUSports and Michael Camp of Jersey Campfire Productions. Episode 13 - Carlo Cooper
Monday Mar 06, 2017
Monday Mar 06, 2017
He said, "I had my two left fingers severed and reattached from an accident at work. Your sticks made my hands feel like they did before the accident." They stimulate your pressure points and they were waking his hands up. I had tears rolling out of each eye and I said, I have to do this. - Carlo Cooper
I had the absolute privilege to speak with the Creator/Founder of CooperGroove Performance Drumsticks, The Master CooperGroover himself, Mr. Carlo Cooper. Carlo talks about the origin of the sticks, the CooperGroovers Community, and making a better product that reduces pain and increases grip for drummers across the country. (and internationally!) Tune in to find out Carlo's thoughts on a Shark Tank appearance, appearing at NAMM, and a possible CooperGroove Artist tour!

Episode 12 - Metal Life Crisis
Thursday Feb 16, 2017
Thursday Feb 16, 2017
"The fluidity of this band is just insane. To be honest, having these two in the band, Gerry and Mark, is a big influence on me and Kevin. First off, He (Gerry) was my teacher. Secondly, I admired these two to death when I was younger. I used to roadie for them. I was always best friends with all of them. Like Mark was saying before about the gelling of this band, it's a family." -Shawn Kaiser of Metal Life Crisis
It's time for a Metal Life Crisis!! The veteran metal heads join me on the "Bobcast" to talk about their inspirations, their catalog, and how they have made such a huge impact on the local scene in such a short time. These guys all picked up music at an early age and have been rockin for 30-40+ years!! (individually and through other incarnations) After talking with the foursome, I could tell that these guys were not simply just band mates, but legitimate inspirations (for) and fans of each other. Check out the full interview along with featured tracks "Monsters Feed" and "Ecodrain"!

Episode 11 - Royal Rumble Edition
Wednesday Jan 25, 2017
Wednesday Jan 25, 2017
"Cena's not my favorite guy. He's not in my top five. But I will never boo him when I go to a show. Because he does work his you know what off, and he's always there putting in the time. He addresses the fact that whether you love him or hate him he's still gonna be doing this for years." - Mike Vacc
It's Time for my favorite match of the year: The Royal Rumble. My best friend and wrestling fanatic, Mr. Mike Vacchiano and I discuss our Royal Rumble predictions and how they might influence this year's Wrestlemania card. Along the way we discuss the success of the current champions, why wrestling is considered "fake", surprise rumble entrants, and what we expect to see from the superstars on the Road to Wrestlemania.

Episode 10 - Star Wars Rogue One Edition
Friday Dec 23, 2016
Friday Dec 23, 2016
"The fact that it enhances A New Hope for me, makes it an important film. It was a movie of firsts for me: X-wings fighting AT-ATs for the first time, and seeing Vader going crazy fighting thirty people. We've never seen that." - Jeff Masella
*SPOILER ALERT* It's the podcast from a long, long time ago, in a galaxy far away!!! I sit down with the 501st Legion Darth Vader himself and Star Wars Fanatic, Mr. Chris Francese to talk about the group's charitable work and pick his brain about the newest Star Wars installment, Rogue One. I also join my wife, Kate Ortiz and director/writer, Jeffrey Masella to talk in depth about the film's characters, easter eggs, lack of the scroll/John Williams, and our thoughts on future Star Wars stand alone movies. Tune in to see where we rank this film among the other installments and May the Force Be With You!!

Episode 9 - Improv Jam
Monday Dec 12, 2016
Monday Dec 12, 2016
"If you're relating to your scene partner and acting like you belong, the audience is willing to believe you. They are willing to see in a way, how smart you are, and how you can kind of trick them into thinking that this thing is scripted. You have the opportunity to spin some magic, and the audience wants that. They're waiting for that, and the crazy part is that they can smell fear." - Nick Saint Onge
Scene in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1!!! I had the opportunity to sit down with some of my favorite performers and local comedy legends, Improv Jam!! We discuss the art of creating characters on the spot, dealing with hecklers, and keeping a scene going. Mike, Ria, Steve, and Nick share how they came to be the talented performers they are today, and show me first-hand how to be part of an evolving scene!! Improv Jam is every Saturday in Red Bank, NJ at 9pm, right next to the Count Basie Theatre.
